On 23 – 26th of June 2011 in Hyatt Regency Reston (Washington DC) CFA Annual Meeting took place (Part 1)Date: June 23-26, 2011 On 23 – 26th of June 2011 in Hyatt Regency Reston (Washington DC) CFA Annual Meeting took place www.cfaorg.com Within the limits of congress important and interesting events took place which we have visited, and now are glad to share with you the review of all events. United Burmese Cats Fanciers (UBCF) On June 23rd during the first half of the day the meeting of the United Burmese Cats Fanciers under the chairmanship of Willa Hawke (Willa Hawke) has taken place. There were the breeders of the American Burmese (traditional and contemporary lines).

For this meeting we prepared the detailed presentation of the project «BURMESE INFO».
We have told about the purposes and problems, portal plans for development, have voiced the offers on experience exchange, getting some new material about favourite breed (articles, polls, etc.). On reply many positive responses have been received, and also the consent to cooperation in content granting on any questions interesting us. Some of our articles have especially interested American breeders. The big interest was caused by the article about the comparison of Burmese types, many breeders asked for permission to place the hyperlink to it at their personal sites.
International Division After the meeting there was an International Division welcome Party– a meeting of breeders and representatives of Europe clubs with judges and the CFA president Mr. Jerry Hamza. ..in warm friendly atmosphere

We had an opportunity to discuss in person with CFA president the following important questions: exhibitions,judges qualification, CFA on-line payment for cats registration etc. After the end of conversation Mr. Hamza asked to e-mail him the discussed issues for the further work. On the threshold of the major event – votings for the recognition of the International division as a separate and equal in rights region of CFA – the organizers made a celebratory cocktail. All participants blew the candles with pleasure and have tasted a symbolical pie, with symbolic candle 9 – number of the new CFA region - Region 9.
WINN Foundation Dinner Veterinary and health research conference - 33 Annual Winn Foundation Dinner officially ended this day, full of activities. The doctor of sciences Mr. Niels C. Pederson, being the Director of Animals Health Center and the Director of Veterinary Genetic Laboratory of the Californian University in Devise, more than 40 years of FIP esearch, presented the latest results and researches on FIP disease. The presentation contained results of the newest FIP researches with facts, conclusions,statistics, video and photographic materials.

Annual Meeting – Open congress of CFA delegates On June, 24th an Open congress of CFA delegates has taken place. In the agenda:
Voting for the acceptance of the International Division as a separate region of CFA № 9 was the most important and long-awaited question for all European breeders. It will allow Europe to be on a level with the others eight regions of CFA! Many CFA judges took the floor and supported 9th region, positively responded about the work done, high level of European cats shows, about the HIGHEST quality of cats in Europe and Russia, about the contribution which Europe brings in CFA activity, and many other good words. Following the results of voting almost unanimously (1 voice contra) the International Division has been admitted as a 9th region! Russia also is a part of region in CFA!
